Water skiing tests your balance and nerves. Though it is quite safe to water ski at most beaches, it is advised that you use proper guidance and gear for the proper enjoyment of the sport. The sport is not too difficult, but you have to learn the basics. Water skiing involves the use of the leg and back muscles and learning the proper technique takes some time. Practice is of essence and you may have to deal with minor injuries or the occasional fall, though serious injuries under proper supervision are unheard of.

Many training centers or beach resorts offer training in water skiing along with other popular water sports. Some organizations dedicated to water sports offer water skiing training at the various popular beaches of Goa. All the major Goan beaches offer water skiing as a beach activity. These include Baga, Vagator, Calangute, Candolim, Uttorda, Mobor, Colva, and Anjuna. The required gear can be bought or hired at these places.

Fitness is of prime importance in the sport of water skiing. The sport is particularly popular among the youngsters, although older but fit men and women are also quite enthusiastic about the sport. In Goa, you will come across numerous people enjoying water skiing under the lovely blue sky and the blue waters of the Arabian Sea.

The other water sports of Goa include parasailing, dinghy sailing, motor boating, scuba diving, surfing, wake boarding, and snorkeling. You must try these entertaining activities at least once during your vacations in Goa.
