Scuba diving and Snorkeling

Goa truly is the party capital of India but this is not all! It has a lot more to offer and this covers up some adventure with water sports. Amid those beautiful shells and fishes, water sports in Goa promise you with an unforgettable experience. There are a number of options for water sports in Goa including scuba diving, snorkeling, Para sailing, jet skiing, wake boarding, wind surfing and banana rides. The most popular among these sports are scuba diving and snorkeling. We have discussed more about these two activities in a special section below.

Scuba Diving :

Scuba Diving is a form of underwater diving which allows you to discover the beautiful sights of underwater world. Scuba stands for Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus which says that while scuba diving you will use breathing gas cylinders which will help you breathe underwater. There are many places where scuba diving activities take place and these include Suzy's Wreck, Grand Island, Davy Jones Locker, Sail Rock, Turbo Tunnel, Surge City, Uma Guma Reef and Bounty Bay.

Scuba Diving gives you an opportunity of exploring the underwater treasures of Goa. There are professional diving schools in Goa where the divers are provided with diving tank facilities and certification before diving.

Snorkeling :

Snorkeling is a water sport activity in which you get to swim through a water body. For this, you need to wear a diving mask, a shaped tube called a snorkel and swim fins.  With all this equipment, you get to observe the underwater attractions for a longer period of time without putting in many efforts.

The key attraction of this recreational activity is that you get a chance to see the underwater life in its natural setting. For snorkeling, you do not require much training and equipment.

In Goa, Bat Island and Navy Island provide snorkeling facilities. The two islands have clean waters and this good water visibility makes it a perfect destination for snorkeling.
