Knee and Wake boarding

Knee and wake boarding is a relatively new addition to the water sports scene in Goa. The sport of knee and wake boarding is very similar to water skiing. However, the difference lies in that instead of two narrow strips of water skiing, there is only one broad board, upon which the person wake boarding has to balance himself. There are slots for the knees in the board, and the boarder has to kneel and set himself in position. In this way, it requires less balancing skills than water skiing, but a little more agility. The board is drawn by speed boats at varying speeds depending upon the expertise of the boarder. Its always safer and better to have an instructor or observer on the boat.
