Dinghy Sailing

Out of million spectacular things, what makes Goa steal the spotlight is its amazing beaches; rocky, serene, enlivening; name it and Goa has it already! Sprinkling even more sparkle to your holiday experience is water sports in the beaches at unbelievably nominal price and sometimes offers deals worth a steal.  There are water sports like banana ride, parasailing, go-karting, jet skiing, snorkeling, scuba diving, bumper, water skiing, windsurfing and many others. The price ranges from Rs. 500 to Rs 2000.

Talking about dinghy sailing, the boats which are used are about 15 feet in length, enough three or four people to hop in at once. Dinghy sailing is also called sandwich and beer sailing.  You do not need to have special skills to enjoy this leisure activity. However, there are some basics which are required to be followed in order to eliminate the risks. No matter where you go in Goa, you will find plenty of holiday makers who would offer you water sports activities. Many of these organizers are well trained and experienced. Before embarking, they will teach you the basics which wouldn’t take a lot of time and would also accompany you for your safety. So, there is nothing at all to worry about.

Once you set sailing and move forth the ocean leaving behind all the chatters of the world you will experience the time of your life, the time you will cherish for life. The further you go the clearer and bluer the water gets. And thus also increases your chance of having a glimpse or even touching adorable and glistening dolphins, and colorful fishes. All of this is impossible if you rather choose to stay in the beach.

The recommended time for sailing in the ocean is during the months October to May, when the ocean is calmer. During July to September (Monsoon season) there are high tides and the ocean could get really unpredictable.
