Major angling destinations in Goa :

The Old Goa Jetty : This is located about a half an hour drive from Panjim. This quiet place is a good spot for live baiting. A wide variety of fish can be found here including barramundi, bream, snapper, tarpon, grouper, and catfish.

Reis Magos Jetty and Rocks : You can reach this spot by taking a ferry across the river to Betim. The road to Reis Magos can also be accessed by the bridge. November to January is the best time for fishing, especially for Barramundi.

The rocks in front of the 'River Rays' restaurant are also known as good fishing spots. The spot is famous for the rays that abound here.

The Fort Aguada : The Sequirm jetty is a good angling spot, but it is often disturbed by the passing tourist boats. The spot frequented by the anglers is located at the base of the hill just below the lighthouse. The view of the Panjim bay from the spot is an add on experience.
