Panaji Goa
The capital city of Goa, Panaji is also an educational, commercial and cultural hub in Goa. Located on the banks of the Mandovi River in Tiswadi Island, North Goa, Panaji is Goa's third largest city, after Vasco Da Gama and Margao. During the Portuguese reign, this city was known by the name of Panjim, while today it is officially named Panaji.

Among the major exhibits here are some invaluable collection of Goa's rich art and craft, artifacts made of gold and precious stones, ivory statues, and an image of St. Francis Xavier in a silver casket.
Adilshahi Palace : Built by Yusuf Adil Shah in 1500, this palace served as a major defense tower for the Portuguese. It has been beautifully preserved over the centuries, with perfectly manicured gardens enhancing its charm and beauty.
Mahalakshmi Temple : Considered to be the abode of the actual Goddess of the Shakti sect, this beautiful temple is one of the must visit places of worship in Goa.
