Baga Beach, situated in North Goa, is around 9 kilometers from Mapusa and around 16 kilometers from Panaji, the capital of Goa. This beach is a prime part of the 30- km stretch of beach coastline. Baga beach is located within the other 2 famous beaches of north Goa- Anjuna and Calangute. Baga Retreat House
Established in the year 1953, Baga retreat house or the Casa de Retiro is located on a hill. Situated on the peninsular end of the Calangute shore, it was founded by Father Le Tellier. One of the major attractions near the Baga beach, it is dedicated to St. Francis Xavier and is used for meditation and prayer.
Medicinal Spring
A perfect spot for picnic, the Medicinal springs are at Mottant. It is believed that that the water spring, located near the Bom Viagem Convent has medicinal properties.
Sea Cure
It is believed that the sea at the Baga beach offers a cure from body disorders like joint pain and arthritis. During the month of May, each year, people visit the beach to take a dip in the sea waters.
Sangodd River Fest
Sangodd river fest is an annual river fest, which is the celebration of the Baga River.
Nightlife
The road along the Baga beach is famous for its nightlife. Places around the Tito’s Lane are Club Titos and Cafe Mambo, two amazing places to enjoy great food, sparkling wine and lively music being played by the DJs and will leave a memorable impression. Besides these two, there are other places as well like Cocktails and Dreams, Sports Café and Cavala.
