Goa by Air
Goa is well connected to the major cities in India, all domestic and many International flights are serviced to and from Goa. Dabolim airport Goa lies near the town of Vasco-de-Gama (30 km from Panaji). Daily flights connect from Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Cochin. Major airlines operate in and out of Goa such as: Air India, Jet Airways, Go Air, Indigo and more. International Flights also land in Goa, Air Arabia and Qatar Airways mostly. From UK and other European countries too, many chartered Planes run to Goa.
Goa by Road
National Highways NH4, NH17 and NH17 connect to Goa through major cities, so travelling by road will not be a problem as the condition of the roads is great. The bus services offered in Goa are good and connect to almost all the neighboring states like: Mumbai, Bangalore, Mangalore and more every day at regular intervals.
The bus service operates from the Kadamba bus stand at Panaji and from other smaller stands. However the arrival of the bus timings in Goa is around the early hours of the morning, the departure is in the early afternoons and evenings. The bus halts at night for dinner on the way. There are also private bus operators providing all kinds of services from special to deluxe.
Goa by Train
The rail route to Goa connects from many cities, It took 10-12 hours from Mumbai but the introduction of high-speed Konark railway takes only around 8-9 hours for the same journey. Trains run to and from Goa the Northern parts as well as the Southern parts of the country.
It has two major railway stations- Margao and Vasco-de-Gama, in the Southern part of the state, after reaching the station you can hire a cab or a motorcycle reach the desired area.
